Abstract The article discusses everyday life in the city of Jerusalem during the reign of King David, or the early 10th-century BCE. Particular emphasis is paid to the mundane practices and commonplace activities that shaped life in early Iron Age Jerusalem. The author argues that an often overlooked feature of early Jerusalemite society is its agrarian setting and lifestyle. The author presents a detailed description of the agrarian landscape and agrarian lifestyle of the community of Jerusalem during the time of King David.
