Abstract This article describes three inscribed Nabataean Tombstones from the Umm el-Jimal area, dated to the first half of the second century AD. They represent a new additional supplement to the previously known Nabataean inscriptions from the Southern Hauran and Umm el-Jimal areas. The three inscriptions described here indicate that there is a definite correlation between the Nabataean, Safaitic and Arabic proper names and their Greek counterparts, e.g. ʻqrab, yṭwr, ʻmrw, and ḥwrw.
