Abstract The article discusses the archaeological finds of Roman coins found in Neapolis, Samaria, modern-day Nablus, West Bank, that depict Mount Gerizim located in the West Bank dating from the second century CE. The author discusses die engravers' technique that allow archaeologists to understand peak sanctuaries, the sanctuary of Zeus on the mountain, and the replacement of the goddess figure Tyche with the mountain in the coin depictions. Also discussed is the relation between the symbolism in the coins and healing cults.
