Abstract In a previous article, consideration was given to the location of the large mound which Felix Fabri, on his journey from Hebron to Gaza in 1483, believed to be Ziklag (PEQ 143.1, 19–30). Here, six principal sites are examined as candidates for Ziklag by documenting their archaeological history, especially in the formative period of W. F. Albright and his contemporary German archaeologists.
