Abstract In the Psalter after the disappearance of the Davidic dynasty in Ps 89, we have the substitution of David by Abraham in Ps 105. In the Psalter another response to the disappearance of the dynasty is a direct identification to David by the titles of the Psalms. This way is very clear with the titles that refer to some passages of the book of Samuel; Ps 18 plays an important role with the theme of the "confidence" in Yahweh, in relation to Ps 3 and the end of Ps 2. This second approach has an influence on the redaction of the Books of Samuel. The first approach is contested at the end of the Book of Isaiah. We have a synthesis of the two approaches in 1 Ch 16.
