Abstract The article analyzes the drafting and reception of the ecumenical version of the "Our Father" which was adopted by French-speaking Christians in 1966. What debates arose during its drafting? How was the text received by the faithful, by pastors and by exegetes? The article contributes to the global analysis of the translation phenomenon during the liturgical reform and is based on documents found in the diocesan and archdiocesan archives of Mende, Cambrai and Strasbourg, as well as the archives of the CNPL located in the Centre National d'Archives de l'Eglise de France.
