Abstract Analysis of a fragment of the Neoplatonist philosopher Amelius about the prologue of John's Gospel (Jn 1.1-18). Theme is the place of Amelius' paraphrasis of this important text about the divien and cosmic role of the "logos" within the history of philosophy and theology.
