Abstract The text of 2 K 18,13-20,9 must be understood in the continuity of 2 K 17,6.24. Finally the behaviour of Ezechias is presented as being totally opposite that of Achaz in 2 K 16,5-7. The parallel of Is 36-39 is dependent of these points. It develops the theme of the salvation that already appeared in the texts of the book of Kings. The Ezechias-Achaz opposition is depicted again in Is 7. In the book of Isaiah, we encounter a "contestation" of Ps 105 which is very different from the "accommodation" of the interpretation of this same psalm in the book of Chronicles, This fact must correspond to the appurtenance of the group of redactors of the book of Chronicles to the personel of the temple, and the group of the redactors of the book of Isaiah to a marginal group, but the two must have been levites.
