Abstract The paper links the serie of the Cypriot temple boys statues with the sucessful come back in c. 411 B.C. of Evagoras and his family on the Salaminian throne. The Teukrian king became an Athenian citizen as Aeacid (and therefore offspring of Zeus). The Teukrians of Salamis were thearodokoi for the Nemean Zeus, whose sanctuary was established on the myth of Archemoros and the rule of the moira. The representations of the baby found at Nemea and on an Hellenistic sarcophagus of Corinth are clearly very similar to the Cypriot temple boys which are probably Cypriot illustrations of the Nemean myth produced during the « Teukrian century », before c. 310 and the emergence of Tychè.
